Q. What is Reflexology?

A. This practice began in India, China, and Egypt in 2330 BC; and was first introduced to the United States in 1913. Reflexology is the application of pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. Specific points on these areas align with another part of the body (such as lungs, neck, digestive system, etc) and when pressure is applied to these specific points energy is released and allowed to flow freely. This technique can provide pain relief, relaxation and reduction of tension and stress.

Q. What is Reiki?

A. Reiki is a form of energy healing from Japan. Reiki aims to remove energetic blockages throughout the body caused by physical pain and or emotional trauma. Practitioners act as a barrier between outside energy and the clients energy. By removing these blockages, energy is allowed to flow freely throughout the body. Reiki promotes better sleep, relaxation, and reduction in pain and stress.

Q. Should I tip?

A. My rates include gratuity, no need to tip.

Q. What should I expect with my first appointment?

A. Upon arrival you will be greeted and offered slippers, a glass of water and the restroom. We will have a verbal intake to discuss desired goals, needs, requests, and anything else you may think of. I will exit the room, you will undress to your level of comfort and climb under the sheets on the table. I will wash my arms and hands before returning to the room. I will announce myself before entering the space to ensure you are ready and on the table under the sheets. I will enter and begin the session. During the session I will undrape and redrape each section before moving on to the next area. Each session may look different based on needs and modalities. At the conclusion of the session I will exit and you may get dressed. Once dressed you can open the door and we will wrap up with aftercare, session findings, and payment.
